12th Stingrays

The two 12th grade teams battled it out on Thursday afternoon in overcast conditions. The game did not diasppoint the great crowd who turned up to watch. There was an excellent display of football from both teams with a very even contest at hand. The Sharks put two goals into the back of the net in the first 20 minutes of the first half before the 'Rays replied with two goals of their own before the break.

The second half continued to display a back and forth contest with plenty of skill and talent on display. The 'Rays put their third goal in 10 minutes into the second half with the Sharks responding 10 minutes later. With 5 minutes to go, both teams were throwing everything they had at trying to find the winner. With 90 seconds left on the clock, the 'Rays found the net after a deflection off the defense and an unfortunate nutmeg of the keeper. 

A big shout out to both teams who really put everything they had into that game.
